63 Ranch Rebranding

The historic 63 Ranch dates back to 1863 and was a family-owned guest ranch from 1929 until recently. The new owners wanted to refresh the brand, but honor its history by including some of the original elements. The unique skull was part of the original ranch logo and the skull itself is still mounted to the cross rail of one of the property’s entrances, nearly 100 years later.

For this design, I wanted to create something bold and rustic that could translate well to apparel. I redrew the skull from the original logo, simplifying the lines to give it a cleaner look, and created a stacked logo variation featuring the cattle brand as well as a couple of alternate icons. I was honored to work on a brand with so much history and hope that I did it justice in my designs.
